I wrote this, among other poems for someone very special to me for Valentine's day...and they fell on deaf ears...so now you all get to read them as my heart continues to die.

Don't be fooled
by peddlers, by falsities,
I'm confused, but
never more assured of anything...stay,
feeling all alone, you know me...
I'm just compromising
What, I feel I am...

I've been too loud,
too talkative and throwing around
all the feelings I have.
Careless to you, and all
your precious goals, life, love
and selflessness.

Now I've known, and I'm done
and though I love you,
no more will I, be shy,
I've gone down pitiful, deep lives,
Carved out of the mold,
So enter, and behind all of this
lies us, lies you...lies love.

In the dead of night, oh so terrified,
I'm touched by your love, light, sent down
and pluralized. You're soothing, soft, and special eyes,
blink and I'm mortified. When God created life,
He must have first, envisioned you, I'm tossed. Stained.
Broken and rebuilt much stronger. I swear, I am.
