Bump to your first poem, dark ocean!

The distances are daunting,
when our stars seem far away.
You, less dark than deep, a promise keeps,
your gentle waves at bay.

So I hang in the sky, in daylight,
from time to time I try...
Though not my realm, sun at the helm,
I fade to black and night.

Now with explorations halting, more focus on other rocks,
and fewer deep sea divers, haging 'round the docks,
our time it would seem is passing, painful as it might,
though believe and know, a time will show, a guiding, honest light.
