Also, how is "Smartbomb"? I've been meaning to read it, but its arrival from the library was pretty poorly timed and I couldn't renew the loan, so I returned it unread.

Smartbomb was ok. In my media journal I recorded "almost too judgemental view of game writers..." I'd recommend Masters of Doom over it if you haven't read it already.
