Man, it took me forever to get the trick of what shoe on what foot...I remember always holding up my feet to my mom and saying "did I get it right?"
We won't even discuss how long it took you to learn to tie them, and thus get out of velcro. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Israel!

Velcro was just emerging...there were also slip on sneakers with wide elasticized top of the foot inserts...but your Dad prophesied that you'd be receiving your college degree in penny loafers. (Boy, does that date me! Do you know that "penny loafers" are?

After awhile, I figured out that if they didn't feel comfortable, they were probably on the wrong feet.
It took me a very, very long time to learn how to time my shoes. I just couldn't grasp the way my mom was trying to teach me to tie them. I eventually just started tying them in a way that made sense to me, and it's a different way than how most people I know tie there shoes.
I once googled it, and there are a bunch of ways you can tie your shoes, and it didn't make me feel so much of an outcast haha
